![]() ![]() With Melody's hard work and dedication, along with my full cooperation, the false accusations were actually proven to be false in court. If domestic violence would have been proven in court by the opposing counsel, then immigration benefits could have been granted to my ex, who had previously received a deportation letter from USCIS. As a result, in efforts to either save the marriage (to gain permanent residency in the US) or take revenge (for me withdrawing her petition), I was dragged into court by my ex with false accusations of domestic violence. I had filed for divorce and withdrew my I-130 petition to sponsor my ex for adjustment of status to permanent residency in the United States. I had contacted Melody Petit at O'Neil Wysocki law firm about a year ago regarding my divorce case. An outcome that would not have been possible otherwise. Most importantly, she was able to get my case wrapped up in a timely manner with a desirable outcome. She earned my trust and with that trust, she help make this process tolerable. Strategy was the key, and she was prepared for anything. She knew how to deal with the opposing party. She took the time to educate me on the law and how it applied in my situation, whether it was something I wanted to hear or not.
